🌾 About Our Natural (Uncoloured) Playdough

Our Natural Playdough is made with no added colouring at all, leaving it in its original, natural dough colour. This makes it a wonderful option for children with colour sensitivities, allergies, or those who benefit from a more neutral sensory experience.

It’s especially popular in early learning environments, therapy and OT settings, and calm-down spaces.

Because it contains no colouring, it’s also perfect for creative exploration — children can colour the dough themselves using natural dyes such as:
• Food colouring
• Spices (turmeric, cocoa, paprika)
• Vegetable or fruit juices

At Sensory Bliss, all of our playdough is handmade in small batches using natural, taste-safe ingredients. Because we don’t use artificial preservatives or stabilisers, our dough behaves just like fresh homemade playdough would at home.

This means that while it’s wonderfully soft, safe and sensory-friendly, it does have a shorter shelf life than commercial playdough.

Shelf Life

When stored correctly, our playdough typically stays fresh for:

• How airtight the container remains
• Storage temperature
• Whether it’s opened immediately or stored for later use

Over time, natural playdough may:
• Lighten or darken in colour
• Become firmer or slightly dry
• Occasionally develop mould if moisture enters the container

👉 For best results, we recommend using your playdough within 6–10 weeks and avoiding long-term storage before gifting.
